Minutes of Meeting held on 17 September 2008
Were agreed as an accurate record of the meeting.

Family Fun Day
Another successful day making £819.68.   Many thanks to all involved in organising this event and a special thank you to David and Kate Deacon for donating all the meat.  It was suggested that we produce a map of where each stall is to go on the day to help the children in setting up.  Also the teachers are to monitor the type of children stalls to avoid duplications.

Trial Race
A successful day, not quite as many runners as last year but other races where being held on the same day.  Many thanks to Harry Lee’s Nanny for lending us her gazebo.  The day made a profit of £801.68.  Points to consider next year First Aid Tent to be worked on and Children’s age for 5k.

Future Event

Apprentice Competition
If has been decided to leave until the Spring Term. 5 people to be in a team, the PTA will put £500 in towards this and the suggested dates for tasks to be completed by are 28 February, 7 March and the final task to take place on the 14 March.  Bev Worrall to book Spofforth Village Hall and to purchase TENs licence this needs to be displayed at event.

Call my Bluff – Cheese and Wine Evening
This has been cancelled with a view to rearranging next year.

X Factor Final – 28 November
Tickets to cost £5 per adult children free, to include wine, pie and pea’s and for the children hotdog and juice.  Tickets to be allocated on a first come basis.  Sam to put a list for help with serving food from parents whose children are not taking part.

School Calendar 2009
Elaine Grainger has kindly agreed to organise this.  She still is looking for more sponsors.  Please get in touch with here if you can help.

Beetle Drive – 30 January 2009
Sarah Honey has kindly offered to run the beetle drive this year, to follow the same format as last year, Amanda Brown, Sarah Rawson, Vicky Eyre and Sam Marshall to organise food, tickets and prizes.

Treasurer’s Report and General Finances
The CAF a/c has £48.71 and the HSBC a/c £3,919.06. This year’s accounts are just being finalised and Nicky will meeting with the auditor in next week and the accounts will then be audited and presented.

AOB

School Outing to the Theatre – The PTA have agreed to pay for the bus for the school theatre trip. This is to happen next year.

Planning For Next Years Events
At the next meeting we will produce list of dates for the diary.

Headmistresses Requests
Mrs Shepherd has asked if the PTA will contribute to the renovating and upgrading of the wooden trail and sand area in the school playground.   Quotes are to be obtained but are likely to be in the region of £10,000 with PTA contributing half.
